In most NFL Mock Drafts it seems the consensus is a wide receiver (Mike Evans) or a tight end (Eric Ebron) as the first round selection. However in his latest mock draft, ESPN’s Todd McShay chose Alabama Crimson Tide linebacker C.J. Mosley for the Ravens. Mosley played most of his four seasons in Tuscaloosa but his sophomore year he had limited production. That season he dislocated his elbow and had to miss two games. You can also add a dislocated hip to his injury list. Depending upon his medical report will dictate where he is selected.

Mosley is one of the most technically sound and instinctive linebackers coming out of college this season. Should Daryl Smith sign elsewhere, the selection would make perfect sense for Baltimore. Not to mention that he comes from General Manager Ozzie Newsome’s Alma Mater. He has taken players from there more than any other school with Oklahoma right behind them. The only questions are is his injury issues behind him or is Mosley the second coming of Dallas Cowboys Sean Lee.
