More from Ravens News

The Falcons have historically been a better team at home than on the road, and this year has proven to be no exception to that rule.  Atlanta is currently 2-1 at home and 0-3 on the road.  The Falcons are in 3rd place in the NFC South, a division that is usually one of the best in football but has faltered a bit this season.

Meanwhile, the Ravens are 4-2 and sit right behind the Cincinnati Bengals in the AFC North.  The Ravens pass rush finally got going in week six, while Joe Flacco enjoyed a career best performance by throwing five touchdowns in only two quarters of play. The Ravens must be careful not to look ahead to week eight’s pivotal matchup with the Bengals, however.

The Falcons still enjoy one of the best offenses in the NFL in spite of their protection issues and defensive woes.  They employ one of the league’s best quarterbacks in Ryan, along with one of the best wide receivers in Julio Jones.  And if the Falcons want to win this game, it will be on the shoulders of that passing game.  Ultimately, we don’t think they can pull it off, and the Ravens will again hit the road on a hot streak.

Betting Line: Ravens -7 -5, 49 1/2u

Prediction: Ravens 28, Falcons 21
