Rumors are out that the Ravens could be bringing in some help to their secondary
The Baltimore Ravens could be adding help to their secondary by bringing back a player they just let go. According to Jason La Canfora from CBS Sports, the Ravens could be bringing back Lardarius Webb.
Several teams monitoring the Claiborne market believe he will end up talking the Ravens offer. BAL exploring re-signing Webb as well

Just three days ago, the Ravens released Webb to make room for the signing of Tony Jefferson. The move freed up $5.5 million in cap space for the team. The move had to be made, because it was too much money for a backup safety. Webb is just one year removed from making the transition from cornerback to safety. He had been a very reliable player for the Ravens, playing in 111 games since being drafted in 2009.
A Switch Back To Corner?
It does not seem too far out there, but if the Ravens bring back Webb, he could make the transition back to corner. That is where he has played the most of his career and it would make sense now that Jefferson is on the time. He could be used as a nickel corner or in certain packages for the defense. His best season came in 2011 when he combined for 80 tackles and five interceptions. The play earned him a 6 year, $50 million extension in the 2012 offseason.

With that being said, I am not sure how he would fare going back to corner. Safety and corner are relatively similar positions, but it would still be a transition. But at the age of 31, Webb still has plenty left in the tank and a lot to offer for the Ravens. After injuries in the beginning of his career, he played 14 games in 2015 and all 16 games in 2016. As a Ravens fan, it would be great to see him back.
