The Baltimore Ravens could be in danger of losing Kamar Aiken

The Baltimore Ravens have made a lot of noise in free agency, but not a lot has been talked about  wide receiver Kamar Aiken. According to CBS insider Jason La Confora, Aiken visited the Colts yesterday and will also visit the Seattle Seahawks.

After having a breakout season in 2015 with almost 1,000 receiving yards, Aiken took a backseat last season. He finished the 2016 season with only 328 yards and one touchdown. The lack of playing time mostly came from the increasing role of Breshad Perriman and the addition of Mike Wallace. Aiken did not seem to be in much of Marty Mornhinweg’s offensive game plan. Now Aiken is an unrestricted free agent and his time could be up with the Ravens.

Going forward

It honestly wouldn’t surprise me to see Aiken sign with another team. The Ravens chose to keep Wallace for the upcoming season and Perriman’s role will continue to increase. They will also look to draft a wide receiver somewhere in the draft. It could even be as early as the first round if the right player is still one the board.

I would like to see the Ravens keep Aiken. They are still thin at wide receiver and he is an underrated talent. When given the opportunity, he has shown that he can produce on the field. There have not been any reports about the two sides trying to make a deal, so it seems like he is most likely on his way out the door. I think the Ravens seem too comfortable in letting him go and it could come back to bite them. They have a lot of unproven talent on the depth chart in Chris Moore, Michael Campanaro and Keenan Reynolds.
