In the next contest of the Ravens Legends Bracket, Duane Starks takes on Jacoby Jones. Who will come out the victor?

This match-up is between two players who have both scored Super Bowl touchdowns for the Baltimore Ravens. In Super Bowl XXXV, Duane Starks took a pick for six. In Super Bowl XLVII, Jacoby Jones returned a kick for a touchdown and was on the receiving end of a Flacco pass, that put him in the end zone. Both players played an important role for the team during a championship run. Only one can go on to the second round.

Why Jacoby Jones is a Ravens Legend:

In 2011, Lee Evans dropped the pass that would have sent the purple and black to the Super Bowl. The year prior, T.J. Houshmanzadeh dropped a big pass in a a playoff game against the Steelers. In 2012, Jones bucked the trend of free agent receivers dropping big passes. In fact, Jones caught arguably the most important pass in Ravens history. Jones caught a 70 yard bomb from Flacco with seconds remaining in the 2012 Divisional Playoff Game. The miracle touchdown led to shocking the world, and beating the Denver Broncos in two overtimes. It may have been the greatest football game of all-time and Jones played a huge role in it. Add in some amazing kick returns, including a history making one in the Super Bowl, and you have legend status for Mr. Jones.

Why Duane Starks Is a Ravens Legend:

You can make an argument that Starks is the best cornerback in the history of the franchise. He was part of the 2000 Ravens defense, which was absolutely legendary. In the 2000 season, he was a big reason the defense was a turnover machine. Starks had nine interceptions that season, six in the regular season and three in the playoffs. Starks had a 49 yard interception return for a touchdown in Super Bowl XXXV. He had 20 of his 25 career interceptions with the Ravens. He started his career with three straight seasons with five interceptions (he had six in his third season).

Winner: Duane Starks

Starks is the winner, by a vote of 6-2. While Jones played a huge role in the 2012 season, Starks did more for the team overall. Starks was the Ravens first round pick in 1998. He came in right away and made a huge difference. While he also played for the Arizona Cardinals, the New England Patriots and the Oakland Raiders, he will always be thought of as a Raven. A great Raven at that.
