The Ravens head in to their second preseason game tonight against the Kansas City Chiefs. Though it has only been a week since the Ravens played against the Eagles in the preseason opener, there have been some changes since then that should be noted.
Game preview after the jump…
1. Offensive Line
This is a key point that hasn’t changed since last week. Oniel Cousins has been moved to guard and we’ll see if he can make a difference there. Jah Reid will start at right tackle and all eyes will be on the rookie as he looks to make an impact. I’m going to be watching Jah Reid like a hawk. I hope that he can improve from last week and earn the starting position.
2. Lee Evans
The Ravens acquired WR Lee Evans from Buffalo last week and we will get our first glimpse of him in the purple and black. I’d like to see how he is implemented into the offense and see him make some plays. Maybe Joe Flacco can test his big arm on a deep throw to Evans.
3. Tyrod Taylor
Tyrod Taylor is currently the Ravens number two quarterback. The Ravens wanted to acquire a veteran to backup Flacco after Taylor’s performance last week was lacking. Now that Taylor has the butterflies gone, I want to see him show more poise in the pocket. I love his escape ability and I hope that he puts forth a solid performance tonight.
