Tonight, the Baltimore Ravens will take on the Atlanta Falcons in the Georgia Dome in their last preseason game of 2011. While many starters aren’t expected to play more than a series if at all, there will be many rookies and undrafted players trying to earn a spot on the team roster. This will be the most important game of their lives thus far and will determine their future in football.
LaQuan Williams has been very impressive thus far and will competing for one of the final roster spots. He’s done extremely well returning kicks and has proved to be a reliable special teams player. Look for him as he does everything he can to prove that he can play like a Raven.
Anthony Allen, the Ravens seventh round draft pick, made a critical mistake last week by dropping a touchdown pass. However, he has run the ball effectively when his name has been called. He is competing against Jalen Parmale for a spot on the final roster.
While Tyrod Taylor has pretty much sealed a roster spot, his performance during this game will determine his role in the offense. Will he be the Ravens number two quarterback or will the Ravens try to acquire a veteran? His performance tonight will dictate that decision.
