Justin Tucker Not Affected by First NFL Miss

Last night Justin Tucker missed his first NFL field goal attempt on a 47 yarder he pushed wide right. Given the weather conditions and the fact that the Ravens went on to win the game the miss was pretty excusable.

Some rookies would be a bit rattled by that first miss, but Tucker has already proven he isn’t your average rookie. He went back out later in the game and nailed a near identical 45 yard attempt sending it right down the center.

Tucker, as usual, didn’t give himself much credit for the make and he took responsibility for his miss by simply saying he would go back and watch the tape and determine if he had made any technical errors and move forward from there.

I’ve said it before and I’m sure I will say it again, Justin Tucker is one of the most impressive rookies I have seen in quite some time and I am baffled as to why he wasn’t drafted. Tucker is still converting nearly 90% of his kicks on the season. In case you haven’t figured it out yet, this guy is the real deal. Tucker will be Kicking in this league for the next 15 years and my guess is he will be doing it at a Probowl level.
