The Afternoon games were pretty solid today with a doozy in San Diego leading the way. here is how it went down.

Baltimore 16 @ San Diego 13- Ray Rice converted a 4th and 29 and the Ravens found a way to win the game(or maybe the Chargers found a way to lose). These Ravens aren’t pretty, but they are winners. they stand at 9-2 on the season and despite all their doubters they continue to do nothing but win. they have now won four straight and 8 of 9. they have a 12 game division win streak, they have a 3 game lead on their division, a 2 game lead on the next team behind them in the AFC(thanks to a head to head) and they control their destiny in regards to the number 2 seed in the playoffs. This is a team that is not to be trifled with.

St. Louis 31 @ Arizona 17- The Rams rolled the dice in a big way when they drafted CB Janoris Jenkins in the second round of the NFL draft. Jenkins had been kicked out of Florida and had a history as a troublemaker both in his private life and in the locker-room. Today, that gamble paid off. Jenkins returned 2 interceptions for TDs and carried the Rams to a 14 point victory. The Cardinals continue to have a train wreck at the QB situation(all you Ravens fans that say they should get rid of Flacco should pay special attention here) as Ryan Lindley threw 4 INTs against 0 TDs.

San Francisco 31 @ New Orleans 21- The 49ers have found their QB of the future. Jim Harbaughs first draft is looking like a slam dunk, they Drafted Aldon Smith 7th overall, he has 7 sacks in the past 2 games and 16.5 on the season, good enough to lead the NFL by 2 sacks. His second round pick was QB out of NEvada Colin Caepernick. CC has only got 2 starts, and he has been fantastic in each. Today he had about 250 yards and a score(and another on the ground) and led the 49ers over the Saints. Drew Brees was the deciding factor in the game as he tossed 2 INTs and both were returned for scores, one just before halftime. The 49ers are now 2-0 without Alex Smith and those two games might be their most convincing wins of the season.
