Ravens defense regains it’s swagger, ready to take on Broncos

The Baltimore Ravens defense has regained it’s swagger.  After looking sluggish all season long….they played their best game of the season on Sunday as they dismantled the Colts 24-9 on Sunday.  The Ravens have been hit hard by injuries all season long.  Sunday marked the first time that LB-Ray Lewis, LB-Terrell Suggs, S-Ed Reed, and DT-Haloti Ngata have played together (on the field at the same time) all season long.

The pending retirement of Ray Lewis has reinvigorated and re-energized the City and this team.  Every Raven played with passion and emotion.  The team shut down Andrew Luck and the Colts.  The fans went crazy all game long….from the time the gates opened…to Ray Lewis’ victory lap around the stadium…in was a fantastic day! If you were there….it’s one of those Baltimore sports moments that you will never forget.

Now the Ravens travel to Denver to face Peyton Manning and the Broncos.  Baltimore lost to Denver less than a month ago, but this is a different Ravens team.  On Sunday, Ray Lewis looked 25 again…as he made 13 tackles in the Colts victory.  Paul Krueger had his best game of the year posting 2.5 sacks too.  Ray Lewis is the spark plug this team has been lacking the entire second half of the season.

I predict the Ravens defense will play a much better game against the Broncos then they did in their first encounter.  The Ravens offense must ‘take it’ to the Broncos on Saturday.  They need use every trick play in the playbook and they can’t make the mistakes that cost them so dearly in week 14.  If Baltimore plays like they did on Sunday, they will beat any team in the league.  Here’s hoping Ray Lewis has 3 more games left in his career….cheers!
