Rumors have been circulating ever since Ray Lewis announced his retirement that he was going to be working for ESPN this year as an analyst. Now we have yet another indication that that is very likely to happen. Check out this story from Sports illustrated writer Richard Deitsch.

At an airing of a preview of ESPNs new 30 for 30 spin off 9 for IX(documentaries by prominent female documentarians) ESPN president John Skipper pretty much ensured that Ray would be working for them as part of their Sunday and Monday night countdown shows. Ray probably wont see daily action because he wants to be around Miami to attend Ray Lewis III(his son)s’ games at the U on saturdays.

I have never been a huge fan of the NFL Monday night countdown crew, so having Ray be a part of the team means i will be watching for the first time in a long time. One more viewer for ESPN I guess. I can’t wait to see Ray in his new role, as a Ravens lifer, it would have been tough to go cold turkey with no Ray at all. One more bonus of Ray on TV? We get to see more of Rays suit collection, I know he has some wild ones he hasn’t busted out yet.
