I have been hyping up Keenan Allen to the Ravens for weeks. After his pro day, I feel even better about it.
Allen ran bad times in the 40. Lets get that out of the way right of the bat. He ran a 4.71 and a 4.75. Those are awful times, flat out bad. that said, I don’t think many people care about his times. He doesn’t have his burst back yet, that is to be expected. Allen has been 100% medically cleared and ok’d, so Allen will eventually get some speed back. No one really expected him to run better than maybe a 4.65 give or take half a tenth.
Allen did show what we already knew about him, he has excellent hands and runs a full route tree. Allen has a ton of toughness and plays with lots of physicality. Many people are reminded of Anquan Boldin, I liken him a little more to Roddy White from Atlanta. White and Boldin and Allen are all simular players, but White and Allen are a little more explosive, Allen has better hands than White though. I still say he is a perfect fir for the Ravens and I condone a trade up to get him if necessary.
