Keenan Allen Fails Drug Test, Slips Closer to Ravens

The closer to the draft we get, the more I feel like Keenan Allen is the guy. I said that last year leading up to the draft about Upshaw when rumblings of his draft day fall started about a month before the big day, maybe i can call this one right 2 years in a row.

Keenan Allen, to me, is a Ravens type of player. He has a little bit of a knee issue that isnt really a serious problem moving forward as long as the Ravens medical team clears him. the knee problems have caused him to still not be able to conduct a full workout, though he did do a partial workout on the 9th in which he ran a poor 40 yard dash but looked great in on field drills. The poor 40 drove him a little further down boards and now we have a new rumor.

Keenan Allen reportedly failed a drug test at the combine. Allen took another one this month and there are rumblings that he might have failed that one as well.

The Ravens have never been afraid of a player with a couple failed drug tests before. They have always considered their locker-room strong enough to sort out minor character issues like recreational drug use. This is not an issue that Allen has had a recurring problem with during his college career and seems to be an isolated incedent. Even so, It is likely to scare at least one or two teams away that were still thinking about investing a pick in him. Every time something like this happens, Allen slips just a tiny bit closer to the Ravens.

I still say my gut feeling is that Allen is a Raven before the end of next Friday.
