With the 94th pick in the NFL draft the Ravens took Brandon Williams, Defensive lineman from Missouri Southern. The Ravens stayed patient and stayed put in the third round just like they did in the first round. For their patience they were rewarded with The under the Radar Brandon Williams.

Williams is a small school nose tackle from Missouri Southern. Some scouts were incredibly high on Williams and i had seen grades as high as the low 60s on him. This is a strong value and a very solid pick. I am a huge fan of Williams. This move gives the Ravens even more depth and flexibility on their defensive line.

Williams is a bit raw, but he has an incredible amount of talent. He is primarily a nose tackle, but he can play every spot on the line and he can play it well. I wouldn’t be surprised if he was a big role player this season and became a full time starter next season. He has the potential to be one of the best defensive lineman in the league. Williams is a bit of a risky pick because he never really played against good competition, but defensive lineman are generally pretty safe and Williams has all the size and strength needed to succeed at the next level.

The Ravens draft will resume tomorrow in the 4th round where they have 2 selections.
