With The 238th, and their second to last pick in the NFL draft, the Ravens have selected Aaron Mellete, The WR from Elon who they showed interest in throughout the draft process.

It took a really long time, but the Ravens finally addressed their need at WR and bring in another guy to compete to make the roster. Many many scouts I have spoken to said Mellette was going to be a steal and make some team very happy. I have heard him compared to Marquise Colston more than once, not in terms of his style of play but in terms of his draft stock and how he is being overlooked.

The Ravens brought Mellette in for meetings on 2 separate occasions and their interest was well known.

I would expect the Ravens to take a look at Xavier Nixon or double dip at WR with Da’Rick Rogers with their final pick. They could also take a look at Keith Pough, a linebacker they showed a good amount of interest in in the pre draft process.

The Ravens have one more selection left before they devote themselves fully to undrafted free agency. Stay tuned for coverage of that pick, and check back at Ebonybird.com for up to the minute coverage of all the Ravens UDFA signings. Here is a link to the UDFA page where you can follow it live.
