It was only a matter of time before the Ravens would bring in some sort of down field target for Joe Flacco after the outcome of Thursday night’s game against the Denver Broncos.

It only took three days for a report to come out about the Ravens bringing in somebody to help try and resolve the problem down field.

According to Aaron Wilson of the Baltimore Sun, the Ravens have brought former Super Bowl champ tight end Jake Ballard in for a workout.

It’s great to see the Ravens going out and exploring the market to improve the tight end position after the way the tight end group performed on Thursday.

On top of Dennis Pitta not being available, Ed Dickson didn’t step up the way that everyone expected him to do, and Dallas Clark looked like he should have been at home watching that game instead of playing in it.

Ballard hasn’t really done too much since tearing his ACL in Super Bowl XLVI. His ACL was probably the vocal point of today’s workout with the Ravens to see if he has fully recovered from tearing it or not.
