It was a slow start for the Ravens offense in week two against the Browns. They didn’t put any points on the board until the third quarter in that game.
The Ravens hope the third week against the Texans will be the week where things begin to click for their offense. They will have a tough test against one of the leagues most dominant defenses with the Texans.
Besides the Ravens offense and Texans defense, here are three other things you must watch for in today’s between the two.
Ed Reed Returning To Baltimore In A Different Uniform:
It’s going to bring a lot of fans chills when Ed Reed walks out of the tunnel, not In a Baltimore Ravens jersey. Aside from the chills, there will also be cheers for a guy that has done so much for the Ravens and the Baltimore community. It would be such a shame to hear even one boo, which won’t happen.
Bernard Pierce And His Opportunity To Show He Deserves A Bigger Role In The Ravens Offense:
Ray Rice is officially doubtful for today’s game against the Houston Texans. Whether or not he does play, Bernard Pierce will have the workload in the backfield for the Ravens. This will be a huge opportunity to show the coaching staff that he deserves a much bigger role in the Ravens offense this season.
Stopping J.J. Watt:
The Ravens have done very well against J.J. Watt in the regular season. In Watt’s only two regular season games against the Ravens, he has yet to record a sack. That’s saying a lot considering he has 28 career sacks in his three years in the league.
