The Ravens defeated the Detroit Lions 18-16 tonight at Ford Field in front a loud and frenzied crowd.

The story of the night was Ravens Kicker, Justin Tucker, who scored all of the Ravens points, converting a perfect six for six field goals. One of those field goals, the game winner, was a Ravens record 61 yards that just eeked in to seal the game.

The Lions scored a touchdown on their opening drive with relative ease. It looked like it would be a long night for the Ravens. But the Defense buckled down, holding the Lions to a field goal until late in the fourth quarter. Megatron, Calvin Johnson dropped a couple of key passes, which didn’t hurt.

With 2:25 left in the game, the Ravens, trailing 16-15, marched down the field. They faced a tough decision on 4th and seven, when out trotted, Justin Tucker. With 38 seconds remaining, Tucker kicked the longest field goal in Ravens history and put Baltimore ahead.

The Lions started their final drive at the 20 yard line, where, on the first play, Lions QB, Matthew Stafford tossed an interception that was snagged by rookie, Matt Elam.

Game over!

The Ravens move back into the 6th seed in the playoff picture at 8-6. More importantly, they are one game behind the division-leading Cincinnati Bengals.

We take on the Patriots Sunday in Baltimore, another tough game.

Heading into the final two weeks, I like the Ravens chances of making the playoffs.

Another Ravens game, another exciting finish!
