Stock Down: Justin Forsett

Forsett has been getting a lot of reps behind Ray Rice and Bernard Pierce, and has been pretty up and down so far.  He stands to play a big role backing up Pierce in weeks one and two to open the season, and the Ravens are likely looking at him to at least fill in as a passing down or third down back.

But Forsett has failed to provide consistency so far.  He has had one nice play, a quick run up the sideline, but many more negative plays.  Forsett has been getting tackled far too often in the backfield and needs to show more decisiveness. A zone blocking scheme best suits one cut runners, which to be fair, Forsett is not.  Though he has the talent to succeed, we just haven’t seen it yet.
