We are huge believers in Dennis Pitta this season, both in fantasy and real life. He has been forgotten and cast aside by people who remember his lost 2013 season. But all the stars are aligning for a huge year. The aforementioned new offense heavily features tight ends. Gary Kubiak is gushing over Pitta’s ability. Pitta has always been one of Joe Flacco’s most heavily targeted players. Flacco is getting the ball out quicker this season. The list goes on and on.
Tight end is a shallow position in fantasy football, and there aren’t 12 elite players to fill the position for every team in a league. This is why we will see Jimmy Graham go in the first round. But would you rather have Greg Olsen, Jordan Reed, and Kyle Rudolph over Pitta? All are coming off the board before him. And we would rather take Pitta any day of the week, and we will if given the chance.
