Stock up: Bernard Pierce
Bernard Pierce had a pretty good game last week against the 49ers, but his performance against the Cowboys was impressive enough that it deserves further mention. Pierce started the game over Ray Rice but rotated snaps with the first team until Rice left the game with a shoulder injury.
Pierce only received a total of seven carries, but made the most of them by busting out 55 yards for a stellar 7.9 yards per carry average. He ran with power and vision, even showing some speed on a 30 yard run. Many have speculated that Pierce could run away with the starting job this year while Rice is suspended, including ourselves. But Rice looked explosive on his two carries as well, so this battle is far from over.
