With Jimmy Smith joining fellow starter Lardarius Webb on the sidelines against the Cowboys in the second preseason game, injuries at the cornerback position continue to rack up for the Ravens. Asa Jackson has been nursing an injury of his own, and the team has already lost free agent pickup Aaron Ross for the season. While the team has a couple of undrafted rookies who are competing for a spot, could they benefit from signing another veteran corner?
The free agent wire, particularly at this time of year, isn’t exactly going to provide a wealth of quality starting talent for any team. But there are some big name veteran cornerbacks sitting at home right now. Would they provide an upgrade on the likes of Chykie Brown and Dominique Franks?
