Corey Webster

Webster was once considered an emerging shut down corner who could defend opposing team’s number one wide receivers.  Nagging injuries and a sudden drop off in play led to his release by the Giants, and he has been accused by team legend Carl Banks of quitting on his teammates.  Webster graded out as the 110th corner out of 113 by Pro Football Focus the season prior when he played a full 16 games.

Now 32, Webster may be at the end of the road.  But he was a starter for the Giants for many years, and was even named as an All-Pro at one point.  It’s fair to wonder if he has anything left in the tank now that he is fully healthy. Webster could be worth a dice roll as a low cost, low risk option.
