Several players were held out of Thursday’s practice ahead of the third game of the preseason Saturday night against the Washington Redskins. There was only one addition to the list from Tuesday’s session, fullback Shaun Chapas. Jah Reid continues to miss time as he attempts to pass the NFL’s concussion protocol.

John Harbaugh also announced that Jimmy Smith and Asa Jackson would be joining Lardarius Webb on the sidelines Saturday night, which means that none of the team’s top corners will be on the field against the Redskins.
Harbaugh said his top three corners are out for Saturday's preseason game. So no Jimmy Smith.

Harbaugh did express confidence that Smith could play if it was a regular season game, and all three are still expected to be ready for week 1 against the Bengals regardless.
Harbaugh said CB Jimmy Smith (bruised chest) could play but team is being cautious.

All those guys, though, Jimmy Smith, Lardarius Webb, Asa Jackson, expected to be ready for Bengals game

It’s actually good news, in our opinion, that the Ravens are being so cautious with their injured cornerbacks. There is really nothing to gain by trotting them out for some meaningless action. The only player who really needs the snaps is Jackson, but it isn’t worth risking further injury at a position that is wafer thin at the moment.
