Stock down: Owen Daniels

Another player who hurt himself by not playing in this week’s preseason game was free agent tight end acquisition Owen Daniels.  Daniels has missed significant time with what the team refers to as “leg fatigue,” and it appears that the Ravens are just trying to get him ready for the regular season at this point.  Daniels already knows Gary Kubiak’s offense, but could benefit from some time with Joe Flacco.

While the Ravens likely thought that Daniels would play a significant role in an offense that promises to feature a lot of two tight ends sets, we are skeptical that his body will hold up.  Meanwhile, Crockett Gillmore has played relatively well and may steal the job away while Daniels rests.
