Linebackers: Terrell Suggs, C.J. Mosley, Elvis Dumervil, Josh Bynes, Daryl Smith, Courtney Upshaw, Arthur Brown, John Simon, Albert McClellan, Pernell McPhee
McPhee has been a one man wrecking crew this preseason, consistently getting pressure on opposing quarterbacks even when double teamed. Brown has regressed a bit, but is still safe for another year thanks to draft status. He just might be limited to special teams. McClellan is a core special teamer and that earns him a spot.
The coaching staff loves Upshaw and he is a talented edge setter, a role that the team values. Bynes has had another solid offseason and started in place of Smith when he missed some time with a minor injury. Simon has played fairly well but likely won’t have a role on defense this season.
