Keys To Victory #1: Run the d&$* ball

Simple enough.  For some reason unknown to anyone but Gary Kubiak, Joe Flacco attempted a ridiculous 62 passes on Sunday against the Bengals.  The Ravens just kept on throwing, even though the wide receivers kept on dropping passes and running bad routes.  It was a mind numbing experience.

Bernard Pierce found little room to run before handing the ball to the Bengals on an early fumble.  But then Kubiak veteran Justin Forsett came in, and proceeded to pick up yardage in chunks.  He even ran one in for a touchdown (thanks to some great blocking).  So they hitched the offensive wagon to him, right?  Nope, Forsett got a total of 11 carries.

This is not the offense we were expecting, one that was going to run to set up the pass.  And we sure hope it isn’t the one we see on Thursday night.  We want to see the Ravens come out of the tunnel running the ball, preferably with Forsett leading the way. Oh, and mix in a little Lorenzo Taliaferro (one snap on Sunday, zero carries) while you’re at it.
