Keys To Victory #3: Get to the Quarterback
The Bengals have a great offensive line, perhaps one of the best in the NFL. The Steelers, quite simply, don’t. The Raven’s pass rushers should find it easier to get penetration on Thursday than they did on Sunday, by default. And they need to, because Andy Dalton’s jersey was way too clean on Sunday. And good protection allowed Dalton to expose a patchwork secondary.
The problem is, Ben Roethlisberger is one of the hardest quarterbacks in the NFL to take down. He is a veritable oak tree on the field. He is also great under pressure, making throws that shouldn’t be possible when there are three guys hanging off of him. But the Ravens have to get some pressure and help the secondary out. At least it will help prevent big plays and keep the field shorter.
