In what everyone expected to be an offensive showdown between the number one and number six units in the NFL, we instead watched an ugly and penalty filled mess of a game in Indianapolis. When the dust settled, the Colts emerged victorious as Joe Flacco failed to connect with Torrey Smith on 4th down.

Even though the Ravens offense sputtered when it mattered the most and strangely abandoned the run yet again, the defense continued their strong play. Time and time again the defense stopped the Colts short in the red zone and forced field goal after field goal.

The Colts dominated time of possession with 38:43, while the Ravens had the ball for only 21:17. Both teams committed multiple penalties, as the Colts racked up 6 calls for 83 yards and the Ravens added 5 for 36. The Ravens committed 3 turnovers, while the Colts had 4.

As we do each week, we dove into the stats and video to dissect how each unit performed. We have assigned letter grades based on those performances. While this week brought an ugly and ultimately disappointing loss one week after an exhilarating victory, there are still some bright spots to point out. And some not so bright spots.
