Stock up: C.J. Mosley
C.J. Mosley followed up the best performance of his career in week four by having an even better outing in week five. Â Mosley racked up a career high 14 tackles (8 solo), an interception, a deflected pass that resulted in another interception, a quarterback hit, and 6 defensive stops against the Colts.
Mosley continues to prove that he was exactly as advertised coming into the NFL as a true three down ‘backer.  He has really excelled against the run, but has also played admirably in coverage through five games.  The Ravens have placed a lot of trust in the rookie as well, playing him on 99.4% of snaps so far.
Mosley still has some growing to do, which in this case is exciting news for both the Ravens and their fans. Â It already looks like he is virtually a lock for Defensive Rookie of the Year if he continues this torrid pace, and he may just emerge as the new leader of this defense. Â For a unit that is showing its age in some places, Mosley is truly a gift.
