Stock down: Asa Jackson

Asa Jackson had a pretty good day against the Panthers in week four.  But the Panthers have one of the worst pass catching groups in the NFL.  Going up against one of the best in the Colts, Jackson predictably crashed back to earth.  Jackson had the worst grade of all Raven’s defensive players by Pro Football Focus.

Jackson played on only 50% of the snaps Sunday, but still gave up 7 receptions on 9 targets for 67 yards.  Only Lardarius Webb, who was making his first extended appearance of the season, was targeted more by Andrew Luck.  For whatever reason, Jackson was left covering T.Y. Hilton quite a bit, and he was burned quite a bit as a result.

The good news for the Ravens is that Lardarius Webb wound up playing a healthy 45 snaps in this game.  The bad news is, Webb looked pretty bad too.  But he is certainly rusty after missing the entire offseason and almost all of the regular season.  The team desperately needs him to round into shape and kick Jackson back to the nickel spot.
