Stock down: Bernard Pierce

We admit, Pierce came in for garbage time and the Bucs knew that the Ravens were going to run the ball to kill the clock.  But it was still a pathetic performance against a defense that hasn’t been able to stop anybody on the ground this season.  After Justin Forsett tore them up for 14 carries and 111 yards with a healthy 7.9 ypc, Pierce took 15 carries for 32 yards and a pedestrian 2.1 ypc.

The Ravens played musical chairs behind Forsett once again, riding Pierce instead of Lorenzo Taliaferro, who had 2 carries for 29 yards.  But then again, maybe they just didn’t want to risk Forsett or Taliaferro in a game that was decided by the start of the 2nd quarter.  Either way, Pierce didn’t help himself Sunday if he is hoping to increase his role going forward.
