It was a tough day for the Raven’s special teams unit, but it wasn’t all their fault.  The biggest story is losing long snapper Morgan Cox for the season with a torn ACL.  It’s an underrated loss at an underrated position, and one that will send the Ravens scurrying to find a replacement.

On the field it was a tough day as well.  The unit racked up three penalties and Jacoby Jones muffed yet another punt.  Jones has already seen his usage on offense diminish, and the time has come for his snaps on special teams to go down as well.  The Ravens might be better off just using speedy rookie Michael Campanaro in his place.

Justin Tucker was 2 for 2 on field goals and had an OK day in kickoffs, recording 2 touchbacks with an average of 69.6 yards.  Sam Koch had a pretty good day as well, averaging 39.3 yards despite having one punt sail out of bounds thanks to 30 mile per hour wind gusts.
