Are the Bengals for Real?

The Bengals were everyone’s favorite to win the AFC North and head to the playoffs this preseason.  On paper, they have one of the more complete rosters in the NFL.  But are they for real?  If you take a look at who they have beaten this year, it’s fair to question.  Following their week one victory over the Ravens, the Bengals have beaten the Falcons and Titans at home.

We all know how bad the Falcons are on the road, and the Bengals couldn’t even finish off the lowly Panthers in overtime, a team that got steamrolled by the Ravens.  Throw in the fact that the Ravens had a dysfunctional offensive day in week one, and it makes you wonder whether or not this team is a contender or a pretender.
