2011 5th Round Draft Pick: DL/LB: Pernell McPhee

McPhee is another one of those players that just slipped down because you couldn’t slot him into any particular role. He wasn’t “big enough” to play D-Line and perhaps was too slow to play LB. The Ravens saw something in his tape and he showed just how strong he is at the point of attack. He has even lined up as a nose tackle at times. His strong punch saw him racking up six sacks in his rookie season and so far he has four sacks this year; his fourth in the NFL, while he participates in a rotation at DE. He’s showing enough that he might be a player the Ravens lose in FA as he gets some big contract offers.
