2014 3rd Round Draft Pick S: Terrence Brooks

Was the fastest safety in the 2014 draft, was tied for the best vertical leap, and tied for fifth in the broad jump the Ravens were hoping to find a rangy coverage free safety to team up with 2013 draft pick Matt Elam. Elam is more of a hitter and run support type and was a bit out of position as a Free Safety in 2013. Brooks was exactly what they were looking for. Brooks didn’t start immediately as veteran Darian Stewart got the nod. Due to issues in the secondary playing time has been found in nickel coverages for an extra safety. He hasn’t emerged as a game changer yet and he might lose time to newcomer Will Hill.
