Originally an UDFA signed by the San Francisco 49ers the Ravens picked him up off waivers from the Denver Broncos after Baltimore learned it would lose long time long snapper Morgan Cox for the season. Depending on how well he does and the status of Cox moving forward, McDermott could very well earn his spot on the roster next season.
