The future Hall of Fame safety was a free agent at the end of the 2012 season and the Ravens thought it was time to move on. Reed had suffered a serious neck injury which he refused to get surgery to correct which robbed him of his once hard tackling play. A hip injury and subsequent surgery seemed to be the final nail that took away that sneaky speed that allowed him to roam in center field and pick off so many passes. Reed signed with the Houston Texans in 2013 who cut him, and then Reed finished the season with the New York Jets. He is currently a free agent.
