Considered to be a good guard for most of his career he was injured in 2011 and the Bengals decided it was time to let go of him at age 35. The Ravens were hoping to milk one last good season out of him but the ankle injury limited him and he lost his starting job to Kelechi Osemele. The Ravens released him after the 2012 season and although Williams didn’t want to retire he failed to catch on with another team.
