Brought in for depth at a position where the Ravens were lacking he spent time bouncing around being signed and the practice squad before eventually being promoted to the active roster. After the lopsided loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers the Ravens made wholesale changes to their secondary, cutting both Franks and Chykie Brown. Brown was picked up immediately but Franks still remains a free agent.
