Reason #4: The Pass Rush is Still Potent

The Ravens are really getting some pressure on opposing passers this season, and for the most part have been doing so consistently. They rank 2nd in overall pass rush rating at PFF, and are 10th in sacks with 25.  When this defensive front gets pressure consistently, it takes a ton of pressure off the secondary.

Elvis Dumervil is second in the NFL with 10.5 sacks, behind only Justin Houston (12.5).  Terrell Suggs has chipped in “only” 5, but has added a ton of hurries and hits in what has been a big bounce back season for both of the aging linebackers.
