Reason #5: The Raven’s Special Teams Unit is Still Special

Special teams has always been a strength, albeit an underrated one, for the Ravens.  This season has been no exception.  The Ravens are currently ranked 3rd in overall special teams play by PFF, and Michael Campanaro will be back soon to give the return team a spark.

Justin Tucker is again one of the best kickers in the NFL, connecting on 86.4% of his field goal attempts this season (5th among kickers).  He is ranked as the fourth best kicker overall by PFF.  Not only that, but Will Hill is already ranked as the 10th best special teams player in the NFL.  Special teams play is a critical component of success in the NFL, especially when the weather goes south and games get close.

So there you have it Raven’s fans, five reasons why you shouldn’t panic about you beloved team just yet.  There is still plenty of season left, and plenty of chances to right the ship.  And who knows, this team might just surprise you when it’s all said and done.
