Bring the Heat on Blake Bortles

The Ravens got consistent pressure on Ryan Tannehill last week, and it completely changed the dynamic of the game.  Tannehill had no time to find his receivers, who were predictably getting open against a putrid Ravens’ secondary.  The Ravens suffered three more injuries at the cornerback position last week as well, making a bad situation even worse.

Blake Bortles is a rookie, and despite his promise he still struggles in the face of a strong pass rush.  He is ranked 25th out of 28 quarterbacks by Pro Football Focus in passer rating under pressure, despite his rushing ability.  The Ravens can easily generate pressure with a four man rush against the Jag’s below average offensive line, but it wouldn’t hurt to mix in some exotic blitzes as well.
