If you thought the Baltimore Ravens got no respect coming into Pittsburgh last weekend as underdogs, you won’t be surprised to learn that they are even bigger underdogs this week heading to New England to take on the Patriots.  While the Ravens were 3 point underdogs last week, this week they are 7.5 points in the hole.

I suppose this should come as no surprise since many people consider the Patriots to be Super Bowl favorites this season.  At times they have been absolutely dominant on both sides of the ball.  But notice I say, at times.  Just like every team, the Pats have weaknesses and they make mistakes.  They have been upset before, and they can be upset again.

So while I doubted that the Ravens could make a playoff run heading into last week, this week I will give them the much earned benefit of the doubt.  Wild Card teams have a rich history of causing problems for top seeded teams, and the Ravens have as good a shot as anyone of doing it this year.  Here are five reasons the Baltimore Ravens can upset the top seeded New England Patriots this weekend.
