Wisconsin running back Melvin Gordon has been a popular mock draft target for the Baltimore Ravens, who seem very likely to take a running back at some point in the draft. And now Gordon, who is a projected 1st or 2nd round pick, is scheduled to visit with the team, according to Rand Getlin at Yahoo Sports.
RB Melvin Gordon is scheduled to visit the #Ravens prior to the draft, a source said. Baltimore currently holds the 26th pick.

Current Ravens running back coach Thomas Haddock is already familiar with Gordon from his time as a running back and assistant head coach at Wisconsin. And what a productive college career he had, averaging a stout 7.6 yards per carry over the last two seasons and racking up 2587 yards last season alone.
Melvin Gordon would certainly be a nice addition to the Ravens’ backfield, especially paired with the fantastic mentor that Justin Forsett promises to be. It would be a great way to break in a young running back, and it would form a heck of a backfield stable for a team hoping to continue its offensive success in 2015.
