The Baltimore Ravens locked up four of their nine exclusive rights free agents last week, and now they have added two more names to the list – wide receier Kamar Aiken and cornerback Tramain Jacobs. The Ravens now have three unsigned exclusive rights free agents: defensive end Steven Means, long snapper Patrick Scales, and defensive tackle Casey Walker.
Both Aiken and Jacobs played a pretty big role for the Ravens in 2014. Â Aiken had a strong training camp and stuck on the final roster, going on to catch 24 passes for 267 yards and three touchdowns across 279 snaps. Â With the current wide receiver depth chart, it would appear that Aiken might play an even bigger role in 2015.
Jacobs was another benefactor of the Ravens’ injury issues in the secondary, appearing in three games as an undrafted rookie.  He didn’t record any stats during that time but stuck on the practice squad for most of the year after he recorded an interception and eight passes defensed as a senior at Texas A&M.
Both appear set to compete for snaps through this year’s offseason program at two positions of need for the Baltimore Ravens.  Aiken in particular appears to have the eye of the coaching staff and might just be set up for a breakout season after showing some red zone chops and possession receiver skills in 2014.
