Best Ravens of All-Time: “Organized Chaos,” The Defensive Front Seven
By Carlos Avent
Ravens LB Ray Lewis (52) during the AFC Wild Card playoff game against the Colts
MLB Ray Lewis
The last inaugural Raven. The General. The face of the franchise. Ray Lewis is the ONLY 2-time Super Bowl champion for the Ravens, the Super Bowl XXXV MVP, 13 time Pro Bowler, 7 first team All-Pro, 3 time second team All-Pro, 3x AFC Defensive Player of the Year, 2x NFL Defensive Player of the Year, Alumni Linebacker of the Year, and 2000s All-Decade Team honors.
Lewis is the only player in modern day NFL history with 40+ sacks and 30+ interceptions, has the most Pro Bowl selections for a linebacker, and his 10 All-Pro selections are tied with Hall of Famer Lawrence Taylor for best all-time.
M&T Bank Stadium is graced with a statue of him, his name is etched in the Ravens’ Ring of Honor, and he’s a sure first ballot hall of famer. I’ll stop there, because I probably do not need to say anything else about Mr. RL52.
Ladies and Gentlemen, there you have it. The best of “Organized Chaos” in Ravens’ history.
