Ravens: Cheers and Jeers for Week 8’s Win Over the Chargers

Jeers: The pass rush continues to be non-existent

Take a good look at the picture above.  The Timmy Jernigan sack of Chargers’ quarterback Phillip Rivers is especially notable this week because it was the only time the Ravens took Rivers down.  It’s a sad, sad statistic considering the opportunity presented by an injury decimated Chargers’ offensive line.

Even more sadly, the Ravens’ lack of sacks has been a consistent theme since star linebacker Terrell Suggs suffered a season ending injury early in the year.  The Ravens did manage 6 hits on the day, as a consolation.  They were fortunate that the team escaped this one with a win.
