In a FanSided mock draft I was tasked with picking for the Baltimore Ravens. So with the sixth overall selection, I chose Laquon Treadwell.
Here is how the mock draft worked. The editor of each FanSided NFL team’s blog acted as the general manager of their respective team. The draft was done in the order of the actual draft will be, without trades. Why did I select Treadwell for the Ravens?
Once Jalen Ramsey was off the board, my pick became an easy one. The only player who could rival the potential of Treadwell was Ramsey. With the top cornerback/free safety off the board, I had to go with the best receiver in the draft.
Treadwell may be the best receiver prospect I have seen in the draft. Treadwell has the frame of Julio Jones but he is a little thicker. He has the freakish catch radius of Odell Beckham Jr. as well. Treadwell has good speed but he may not be a blazer. Yet his 40 time won’t matter on the field. He is elusive as it gets at the receiver position.
With the pick of Treadwell, the Ravens will finally give Joe Flacco a young mega-star to throw the ball to. Flacco will love the Anquan Boldin like ability, Treadwell has to go up and make the contested catch.

Treadwell was a big play machine at Ole Miss. He had 82 receptions for over 1,000 yards and 11 touchdowns in the 2015 season. Seeing the instant impact rookie wide receivers can now make across the NFL, makes this pick exciting. Treadwell will be an amazing player.
