player. 42. The 49ers are one of those teams that could pick just about any of the top prospects remaining because they have a lot of needs. There may not be a team that needs a linebacker more than the 49ers. With the sudden retirement of Chris Borland and Patrick Willis there has been a hole at the linebacker position next to Navarro Bowman. There has been a lot of talk about a quarterback being the apple of the 49ers eye, but there probably isn’t a Colin Kaepernick upgrade in this draft. The 49ers will love the physical nature of Ragland who also has a great football IQ. I have compared him to C.J. Mosley, another former Alabama linebacker who stars on the Ravens.
